I just want to take this time to first thank you for visiting our website.. This is the section of the site where I take a few lines to tell you a bit about myself, here goes.

Since I've been old enough to hang on to my own fishing pole, fishing has been a part of my life. Whether it was standing on shore for spring catfish, or the pier in Port Dover looking for the elusive yellow perch, to bobbing around Lake Erie and Ontario for the walleye, trout and salmon, fishing has been my favourite past time. I've had the pleasure of having some knowledgable fisherman in my family and my close friends who are involved with the sport both recreational and commercial....

Why "Envious" you might ask??

My late brother Duane, was setting out to become an entrepreneur in the world of construction, not long after he finished school. His business name was "Envy" and from what I can gather, I would have to guess it was named that to ensure other people in his field, one day as he gained experience, would begin to envy him... 

2012, I entered my very first tournament, a charity tournament in Fisherville Ontario. The Schumacher walleye tournament, in which myself along with two good friends were able take home first place! We were ecstatic! After that, I knew this wasn't going to be my last tournament.

I've met some very good fisherman who took time to give me knowledge to help me better myself in this sport we call "fishing"

2014, I took a big leap towards becoming a charter boat captain and tournament fisherman and purchased my Ranger 621. What a fishing machine these boats are! There's not enough words I can say, seeing is believing, what these boats can do...

Time has gone by, and we've entered a few tournaments, learned one disappointing lesson, placed well in a few others. As time has gone on, I'm continually asked by friends and family "why don't you do this as a business?"

I named this boat and the business "Envious", not only for the memory of my brother, but I am gonna ensure people  know who I am and perhaps make a few envious of our success along the way.

2016 will be the year we embark on my business venture of being a charter boat captain, and I'm sure there's lots to learn going forward, and I'm also hoping to meet a lot of new people who have the same passion as me, to take fishing to the next level and perhaps have their friends and families "envious" of them after spending some time on the water with Envious Sportfishing. Tight lines everyone and I look forward to the opportunity to give you some memorable moments on the water.
